CSA Raffle

This week we are holding a garden fundraiser. We are raffling off a 9 week CSA share from Two Small Farms in Watsonville, CA. What is a CSA? Community Supported Agriculture is a direct partnership between the consumer and the farmer. You will get a box of freshly picked, local, organic produce delivered to MIIS for you to pick up. This is a great deal! In season fresh veggies from now until mid-November. Buying a $5 raffle ticket will support both the MIIS garden and two local farms that grow the vegetables for the CSA.

How do you get a ticket? Stop by the Samson courtyard midday this week and you should see a garden representative. Or come to the garden meeting on Wednesday evening at 5:30. If you can do either of these, post on the blog you want a ticket or email rkelley@miis.edu.

By supporting the garden you will help to continue the many projects we have underway and that we would like to implement this year. Last year we were able to install a rain water catchment system, this year we would like to build a greenhouse so we can produce more veggies in the cool winter months. We are also upgrading our compost system so we can process more of it at once.

THANKS in advance for your support of the garden!
