All Things Garden…

Howdy fellow gardeners!

We had a great kickoff potluck this past Sunday! We made some amazing plot markers that are in the garden already.  Thank you to those who helped make them happen!

There are lots of things that we need to update you on:

First: We’ll be posting all important information to the garden blog (Our Green Thumb Garden Blog). (But, considering you’re currently reading the blog, I’d say you’re ahead of the curve…) This blog hosts:

  • a calendar with our weekly schedule for shed hours
  • the compost schedule (Compost Schedule) for gardeners (composting will be scheduled by plot assignments, same system as the spring semester)

Second: Do you like painting? Have you always wanted to test your artistic side by painting murals? Well the garden is recruiting some artistic souls to help us paint the garden fences! We’ll supply the paints and one skilled painter (Brett Goodroad). Please email us with your interest and/or ideas.

Third: There is now a key student services, please use it if you need access to the shed (they are open M-F, 9-5).

Fourth: Please be sure to harvest things from your garden before it all goes to seed! Also, don’t forget to weed your plots and weed between the plots.

If you have any questions, ideas, comments or concerns, please feel free to email us anytime!

Happy weeding!

Lauren and Tiffani
