About Me

I’m a student at the Monterey Institute of International Studies (MIIS). I’m working on a master’s degree in International Environmental Policy (IEP) with a focus in Ocean & Coastal Resource Management. This blog details my summer fellowship with the Center for the Blue Economy in collaboration with the Socio-Economic Marine Research Unit (SEMRU) at the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG).

Outside of school work, I enjoy spending time outside. I’m an avid swimmer, but I also enjoy surfing, frisbee, hiking, biking, kayaking, and camping. I can frequently be found on East Cliff in Santa Cruz watching the waves while I sip a cup of tea sometimes solo and other times with a friend. I grew up in San Francisco, went to college in Santa Cruz, and now live in Monterey. Not much in the future is certain, but I can’t see myself ever moving away from the coast.
