Education in Rwanda

The education system policies in Rwanda are set by the Federal education committee, known as MINEDUC.

Rwanda operates on a 6-3-3-4 system: 

• Primary School – 6 years
• Junior Secondary School – 3 years
• Senior Secondary School – 3 years
• University Bachelor’s degree – 4 years

There are 31 Higher Education Institutions in Rwanda, of which 17 are public and 14 are private.
