Contamos los votos de la encuesta que les pasamos en clase en miércoles, y al final vamos a conocer la viña Chateau Juilen en la valle de Carmel. Nos van a hacer un tour guiado de la viña, que incluye una cata de vinos!
Cuando: Sábado, 25 de julio
Salida: Vamos en el bus “Grapevine Express” y nos juntamos a las 11:00 a.m. en la Monterey Transit Plaza. El bus sale a las 11:07 a.m. El tour empieza a las 12:00 p.m. Si vas en tu propio vehículo, encuéntranos un poco antes de las 12:00. en la viña (afuera). El guía para el tour dijo que hay barriles de vino donde nos encontramos afuera para el tour.
Regreso: Entre las 3:00 y las 4:00 p.m. estamos llegando de vuelta al Monterey Transit Plaza (dependiendo de la hora que salimos de la viña)
Para llevar: Un almuerzo (no tienen comida para comprar en la viña). Nos of
recieron guardar sus almuerzos en el refrigerador mientras estamos en el tour.
Bloqueador y/o un gorro. La mayoría del tour es afuera, y después hay mesas afuera para almorzar.
El transporte, el tour y la cata de vinos los paga SILP.

We tallied the votes from the survey we passed around in class on Wednesday, and it turns out we’re going to Chateau Julien vineyard in Carmel Valley. We’ll have a tour of the vineyard that includes wine tasting!
When: Saturday, July 25th
Departure: We’re going on the Grapevine Express minibus that leaves from the Monterey Transit Center. We’ll meet at 11:00 a.m. and and the bus leaves at 11:07 a.m. The tour is as noon. If you’re driving your own vehicle, meet us out front of of the vineyard a little before noon. We’re meeting the tour guide where there are wine barrels outside at the main entrance.
Return: Between 3 and 4 p.m. at the Monterey Transit Plaza, depending on when we leave Chateau Julien
What to bring: A lunch. There’s nowhere to buy lunch at the vineyard, so bring your lunch! They’ll keep it in the fridge while we do the tour, if you want. There are tables to eat outside after the tour.
Sunscreen and/or hat because the majority of the tour is outside.
The transportation, the tour and the wine tasting is paid for by SILP.
¡Llegó la fiesta final de SILP Español 2014! Vamos a tener la fiesta en el restaurante El Torito de Cannery Row el jueves, 7 de agosto, a las 5:00 p.m. SILP compra las entradas (appetizers). Si quieren tomar algo, ofrecen precios happy hour hasta las 6:00.
