Oak Tree Transplanting Day: Success!

This weekend, several MIIS students spent their Saturday morning at CSUMB transplanting the Oak saplings that have been growing since last Fall.  They have gotten too big for their current pots and the time had come to move them into bigger pots to allow them to grow even bigger. The students worked very quickly to transplant about 300 saplings with very few casualties (we had to say an early goodbye to a few Oaks).

Mike working hard.

We are now one step closer to reaching our goal of carbon neutrality! Thanks to all those who participated.

We hope we will see you in the springtime when we plant these Oak Trees directly in the ground!
