In this project, I localized an arcade video game poster for the game Ongeki Bright, made by SEGA. This poster was taken from their website for arcade operators. There were three versions of the poster, one with the release date for the game, one with the dates blanked out so arcade operators can fill in their own date, and one that said “running with favorable reviews”, or in more simpler terms, “out now”. They all were in PDF format, and were A3 size.
This is a project I completed individually. In this project, I provide advice to a translation management service on how their services could be improved, as if I were hired by them to provide consultation. The presentation I gave for this project and the slides can be found below. Note that the slides and presentation have been edited to keep the company anonymous.
This is a machine translation group project done with Shihping Liang, Andrew Taylor, Satoko Achiha, and Katie Shasteen. In this project, we trained a machine translation engine to translate character dialogue from the video game Fate/Grand Order from Japanese to English, using previously translated dialogue from the game and subtitles from Japanese animated films. We also created a survey with the results to gauge the machine translation’s quality.
In this project, I worked with colleagues Marianna Guedez Forgiarini and Christopher Dean to localize a WordPress website we created with the plugin SiteOrigin Page Builder. I was mainly in charge of part of the site creation, and localizing the page into Traditional Chinese.
This is a team project I finished with Yen Ting Low and Shihping Liang in the Translation Technology course, with Sabrina Li and Xiaoxin Damerow as reviewers. In this project, we compiled a few usages of regex in Trados that could be helpful while working on the language pair of Chinese and English. The contents of the project will be provided below, with a download link to the project file.

This is a team project I finished with Yen Ting Low and Shihping Liang in the Translation Technology course. In this project, we used a CAT tool to translate some of California’s 2020 ballot propositions, namely propositions 14, 15, and 16, simulating a request from the California government to translate the propositions from English into another dialect of Chinese.
