Keep Calm and Meditate this fall! Sessions will take place every Wednesday from 12:30 – 1pm in room CF 452. These drop-in sessions do not include any meditation instruction or teaching; they simply provide a regular time and peaceful place to meditate, or just sit in silence, under the quiet guidance of a host. MIIS Welcomes 373 Students from 35 Countries as Orientation Begins

 For 373 individuals hailing from 35 different countries—the incoming fall class at the Monterey Institute—this week marks the beginning of an extraordinary journey that will set them on a path to their chosen career. Holland Center Renovation Begins, with Plans to Reopen Student Facility in December

Work began this week to renovate the Holland Center, located on Van Buren Street on the Monterey Institute campus. The plan is for principal construction to be completed in December and the new student facilities to open before the start of the spring semester in late January. Continue Reading →

An Inside Look at Peace Trade and Development: “Innovative, Different and an Empowering Experience”

As a summer graduate assistant at the Monterey Institute, my daily tasks range from marketing programs, providing logistical support and even learning to cook hot-dogs on charcoal at Del Monte Beach. Reflection Post IPSS Placement Presentations

On Tuesday August 19, the 2014 cohort of the International Professional Service Semester (IPSS) program conducted their placement presentations of their semester-long experience in front of a select group of faculty and staff.
