Cuba J-Term Practicum

A short summary of my experience in Cuba is hard to articulate because the trip exposed us to so much and so many different types of people. I went into this trip very naive on what to expect from the country as a whole, and was blown away by the pure beauty of the country and the people. The 10 day trip taught the group about every aspect of how the country functions; from community members, to economists, urban developers, farmers, doctors, and the generosity of local people in various provinces. I loved every minute of it, and hope to return one day! Far surpassed any expectations I could have dreamt of going into this program, and would highly recommend this trip to any future students interested in studying the country and how it continues to develop and sustain itself.

“Old Havana, an incredible province filled with deep historical roots.”
