Discussion notes for Michi’s presentation on the Art of Choice

1. Is having more choices always better?
– Books >> suggestions by Amazon
– Restaurants >> Yelp / Friends
2. When is less, really more?
3. Decision making styles (we didn’t really get into this, but some people kind of touched on it in their comments)
4. When is being what to choose bad?
5. Did the anagram experiment surprise anybody? Not that the American children did better when self directed, but the fact that there was such a significant difference in the Asian children’s result between being directed by their mothers and by another person.
