你好! HELLO! こんにちは! BONJOUR!

I’m Tianlin Li, a Chinese girl who is passionate about languages and cultures. Having worked in the language service industry for about three years, I’m passionate about translation and localization, and I want it to be my lifetime career.

During my undergraduate studies, I obtained a dual degree in English and International Studies, and two minors in Japanese and French. I got many friends from a variety of cultural backgrounds, and immersed myself in the world of literature and art history. When I finished my first year at MIIS, I took one year off and gained more working experience in the language service industry.

On the project management side, I interned for Syntes Language Group in the summer of 2018, where I honed my project management and data analysis skills. Later, I joined TransPerfect as a full-time project coordinator, responsible for project management, account management and vendor management, and successfully managed hundreds of projects across different verticals from end to end from 2018 to 2019.

On the linguistic side, I used to be a freelancer for Netease Inc. in 2018, translated over 100,000 words covering different subjects such as finance, social science, advertising, etc.

All these jobs have given me the opportunity to dive deep into the translation and localization industry where I apply what I learned in school to solve real problems and make a difference.
