Jennifer Billings

Jennifer is an International Policy Studies student alumna from the Monterey Institute of International Studies.  While at MIIS, Jennifer participated in various activities such as conducting field research in Chile and presenting at the International Communication Association conference in Turkey.  Jennifer is also the founder of a non-profit called Mejorando Juntos, a Clinton Global Initiative University Commitment.  Jennifer has a strong background in business development and non-profit management with organizations such as Tucson Electric Power and the American Liver Foundation and continues to conduct meaningful work in the San Diego – Tijuana region where she is from.     Read more

Elma is originally from Lithuania, where she received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Vytautas Magnus University.  Before enrolling in the Masters of Arts in International Policy Studies with a concentration in Trade, Investment, and Development at MIIS, she participated in academic exchange programs in Portugal, Kosovo and Macedonia, and worked for 6 years in fields ranging from development program management to literary and journalistic translation. Clare Seekins

Clare recently received her MA in International Affairs from the Milano School of International Affairs, Management and Urban Policy at the New School in New York, NY. At the New School she worked with the Solar Decathlon where she lead the Financial Feasibility Team to conduct a financial feasibility analysis of the Empowerhouse design. Prior to graduate school, Clare spent time traveling around Latin America and has worked for various domestic and international non-profits such as the KosovarSustainability Initiative in Pristina, Kosovo, LinkTV in New York, and the Oregon Bus Project in Portland, OR. Clare also holds a BA in Anthropology and Government from the University of Virginia. Read more

Hallie McCormick

Hallie McCormick is a native of New Mexico, where she received her undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Portuguese. She worked as an editor for a newswire service before joining AmeriCorps. During her time in the program, she served at Albuquerque’s groundbreaking Native American Community Academy, assisting with fundraising/development and Spanish instruction.
