Needs Assessment and Curriculum Design

This section of the site will feature reflections on the two stages of the semester-long team projects: needs assessment and curriculum design.  Commentary may range from some of the big picture ideas we examine – the relationship between needs assessment and Appreciative Inquiry (AI), for example; the ways that curriculum design is informed by the broader field of Design Thinking – to the specifics of procedures: how to design an effective interview protocol for an administrator, how to write a metacognitive goal, or how to write directions for pre-listening tasks.  All projects will have a web site and those sites will be linked to this blog so that the outcomes featured in these reflections will be readily accessible for all of us.
