Student Council: Conference Funding Now Available

Do you have plans to attend or present at a conference related to your course of study here at MIIS during the upcoming academic year?

The Student Council Conference Funding committee is happy to announce that conference funding is now available for the Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 semesters!

Monterey Institute students may apply for conference funding anytime starting now until the April 30, 2010 deadline. Applications include a one-page proposal explaining your involvement at the conference and an expense sheet including receipts/ proof of estimated costs. Complete conference funding application guidelines can be found in the Student Affairs office, as well as the required conference funding expense sheet. Completed applications should be submitted by April 30, 2010 to the Student Council Conference Funding committee folder, located in the Student Affairs office.

If you are attending, you can be reimbursed up to $300 for the 2009-2010 academic year.

If you are presenting, you can be reimbursed up to $825 for the 2009-2010 academic year.

CONFERENCE FUNDING CRITERIA
1. Students should match at least 50% of all fees.
2. For presenters, a letter of recommendation may be requested.
3. Fair distribution across all programs.
4. Benefit to the Monterey Institute community.
5. Presentation of the application.
