New Process to Petition for Graduation

The process to petition for graduation for GSIPS, GSIEP, GSITP and MPA candidates has been changed this year in an effort to streamline the process. You may have heard of Degree Completion Checklists in the past. We have discontinued the need for this form. If you are expecting to graduate in either December of 2009 or Spring 2010, please follow the procedures listed below:

-Student completes a “Petition to Graduate” form at Records Office. Records Office posts deadline dates dependent upon semester of graduation

-Records Office will do a degree audit to verify that student is on track in meeting degree requirements to graduate at specified time

-The Records Office will notify student and Assistant Dean of GSIPM of any missing requirements or concerns

-Assistant Dean will work with student, Academic Advisors and Program Chairs to address any issues necessary
