Professor Thomas M. Hout is senior advisor of the Boston Consulting Group; Visiting   Professor at the University of Hong Kong’s School of Business; and Fellow, Center for Emerging Market Enterprise at Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. He teaches global business strategy in Hong Kong and Shanghai. He has been with the Boston Consulting Group for 35 years and was a partner of the firm for 20 years. His field is business strategy and international competition. He has previously lived and worked in Tokyo, London, and Chicago, and now lives in Boston and Hong Kong.
