imagesThe Center for Public Scholarship is going to present the 30th Social Research conference, “Corruption,” on Thursday and Friday, November 21 and 22, 2013, at The New School in New York City. Event schedule is available here.

Signs of corruption and the damage it causes are painfully evident in political and corporate life everywhere. Policy makers, historians, lawyers, and scholars will discuss the many systems undermined by corruption and the transparency and accountability protocols that could serve to reduce corruption, if not eliminate it. Specifically, the conference will examine both U.S. and global aspects of the problem of corruption, including social and historical dimensions of corruption, the systems most at risk of corruption (governments, business, labor, and markets), and possibilities for reform.
