2011 Young Leaders Program

The Northeast Asia Economic Forum (NEAEF) is pleased to announce the Young Leaders Training and Research Program in Regional Cooperation and Development Fellowship for 2011. This year’s program will take place from July 26 through August 11, 2011 in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA.

Fellowships are awarded to persons from China, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, the Russian Federation, and the United States who have demonstrated potential leadership. Applicants must be affiliated with an academic, research or business institution, non-governmental, governmental or international organization when applying for a fellowship.

Application Instructions

  • A cover letter identifying specific research interests, your motivation for applying, and how the candidate will benefit from the Young Leaders Program. Please indicate in your cover letter if you are interested in presenting a research paper during the seminars and include a copy of the paper or a summary of the research in progress. Also please indicate in your cover letter your anticipated location in late July 2011.

  • Two letters of reference (letters in Chinese, Japanese, and Korean are also acceptable). Please identify your tow referees in the cover letter.

Deadline: The deadline is extended such that late submissions will be reviewed if they are submitted within two weeks after the original deadline of May 2, 2011. Please submit applications to:
