CHINA TOWN HALL comes to MIIS
On Wednesday, November 16, our colleagues at Middlebury have offered to include us in an event that promises to be of great interest to a number of members of the MIIS Community.
WHAT:
China Town Hall: National Connections, Local Reflections — U.S.-China Relations and Environmental Politics in China. This national day of programming on China will be held simultaneously in 50 cities across the United States. Each location will include a webcast lecture by former National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezenski, complemented by local programming. The Middlebury event includes the following components:

1:30 pm Welcoming remarks – President Ron Liebowitz
1:45 pm Lecture by Dr. Christine Boyle (UNC Chapel Hill) – “Understanding China’s Water Crisis: Perils and Progress in North Chinaâ€
2:30 pm Q&A with Christine Boyle
3-4 pm (Break)
4 pm Webcast lecture by Zbigniew Brzezinski
4:45 pm Q&A Panel with Middlebury Professors John Berninghausen (Chinese) and Jessica Teets and Orion Lewis (Political Science).
