Dean Shi attended as a judge and sponsor, which gave him a great opportunity to promote MIIS and Frontier Market Scouts special program. The 2012 Los Angeles Institute for Social Innovation took place from February 16 – 20 at the Annenberg Community Beach House in Santa Monica, CA. The Institute brought together a hundred young leaders from over 14 countries and 26 U.S. States along with 15 experts and practitioners in the field for a five day boot camp in social innovation.
