Congratulations to Alexander Doseff and Tyler Steer for winning the First Annual Chili Cook-off Competition on Earth Day with their chili recipe, The Best Vegetarian Chili (contains meat). It was delicious. Their recipe will be feature in its original form as well as an amended vegetarian option in the Student Sustainability Council’s upcoming Sustainability Cookbook.
A good sum of money was raised to publish this cookbook so thank you to all who attended. This will certainly not be the last Earth Day Chili Cook-off Competition.
Earth day is coming up! April 22, join the SSC for the first of many MIIS Chili Cook-offs.
Come spend an afternoon of fun in the MIIS Garden celebrating Earth Day with friends. The Chili Cook-off Competition beginning at 5 pm. There will be drinks (beer/ wine), snacks, chili, games and lots of fun!
Chili will be judged based on overall deliciousness and a VERY BIG prize will be awarded to the Master Chili Chef!!! Bring your favorite chili dish, or if you’re not a Chili guru, in the spirit of contribution, bring a snack or beverage (potluck style). Because this is a MIIS event with alcohol, have your ID.
