Applications (Apps) are discrete software programs which can be downloaded onto mobile devices.  Some applications come pre-installed with a device, such as the Voice Memo application, the Camera application, or the Weather application.  Other apps must be downloaded onto a mobile device by the individual user.

Here you can find information about a range of mobile device apps which are useful to language learners and teachers.  Some were explicitly designed with language learning in mind.  Others, while created for a general audience, are easy to adapt for language learning purposes.
